UKZN online applications are done through the Central Applications Office website. This Central Applications Office platform allows applicants to submit online applications to more than one institution using one application form and paying a single application fee.
Below are the steps to apply at UKZN through Central Applications Office (CAO) platform:

- Navigate the apply tab to get started with your online application at UKZN
- Click on the continue with application tab
- Enter your ID number or your Cao number if you have it
- Enter your personal details then proceed you will then get your Cao number and password
- Capture your next of kin details
- Enter your grade 11 results or your grade 12 results
- Choose the courses you want to apply for (you can choose up to 6 choices)
- Save your Cao number, password and the number to pay the application fee)
