How to Apply for 2025 at Mangosuthu University of Technology (MUT)

MUT online applications are done through the Central Applications Office website. This Central Applications Office platform allows applicants to submit online applications to more than one institution using one application form and paying a single application fee. 

Below are the steps to apply at MUT through Central Applications Office (CAO) platform:

  • Visit the CAO website through this URL: https://www.cao.ac.za/
  • Navigate the apply tab to get started with your online application at MUT
  • Click on the continue with application tab
  • Enter your ID number or your Cao number if you have it
  • Enter your personal details then proceed you will then get your Cao number and password
  • Capture your next of kin details
  • Enter your grade 11 results or your grade 12 results
  • Choose the courses you want to apply for (you can choose up to 6 choices)
  • Save your Cao number, password and the number to pay the application fee)
  • Upload the required documents. After submitting your documents you can exit the application process.
  • Pay the application fee of R250 if you are a south African and R300 if you are an international student student. (Use your unique CAO number as a reference when paying the application fee). The application fee can be paid online or at an EasyPay Outlet

 

MUT Application Status

Once you have submitted your application to Mangosuthu University of Technology (MUT), you can easily track its progress through the Central Applications Office (CAO) portal. The portal allows you to stay informed about the status of your application at every stage. You will receive notifications regarding your application status via email or online. 

 

MUT Required Documents

MUT requires the following certified and scanned documents:  

  1. Certified copy of your ID or passport
  2. Certified copy of your matric certificate or final results (for Grade 12 students)
  3. Other academic transcripts or certificates (if you have already completed previous tertiary studies

 

MUT CLOSING DATE:

The closing date for submitting applications for the 2025 academic year at MUT is 30 November 2024. Applications received after this date will not be considered for admission.
